Another day had passed and I was on my way home when I was stunned at a billboard in EDSA: there was Taylor Lautner, and he was like greeting everyone “GOOD MORNING MANILA”, on his fit tees, gorgeous bod and look that makes ladies go gaga. There he is, posing as a new ad model for Bench. Good catch for this one Mr. Ben Chan!
It was July 19 this week, when Bench officially announced on their Twitter account that the Twilight hunk will be their Global Benchsetter, among other big names in the music industry like Adam Lavine and Jessica Sanchez. Some other international stars once graced the billboard in one of the busiest road in the city were Liam Hemsworth, Lucy Hale, Micheal Travino, and Joe Jonas.
According to ABS-CBN News site, the campaign was shot by Anthony Mandler, photographer, TV commercial and music video director. I guess all Bench and Taylor Lautner fans are just hoping for him to visit Manila soon.

If I’m going to start a business and sell “Common Manners” in the market, I’ll either be in the brink of “debt of death” or, I could be a millionaire and beat Lucio Tan in the bun!
For what ever reason, in this generation where advance technology is the steering wheel of every nation to progress, fashion is reachable to people, information is easily attained and talk is cheap, a lot of people are missing out one thing – to have common manners. Continue reading
After being the man of Calvin Klein, David Beckham have hundreds of ways to make ladies, and ladies at heart, be wowed and suffer from hyperventilation, every time he poses as a model for a certain underwear brand. This time, I can see him run, swim and pant in an advertisement for H&M…wearing nothing but, oh well his great lean bod and an underwear!
David worked with Guy Richie, the director behind Sherlock Holmes movies and Snatch, to create a campaign for H&M Bodywear. I must say, for someone who’s on his late 30’s, David know how to really present himself in public and be one of the most effective promoter for a clothing line whether that be for Shirts, pants, undergarments or shoes…of course, everyone’s fave is him wearing nothing but his undergarments on. For this 1 minute and 29 seconds ad, shows David running in some streets in Los Angeles, and my eyes got widened on the part where he needs to fix some parts of his underwear before chasing the car again! I hope this ad will also make real guys feel good to have a pair of undergarments from H&M.
Here’s the ad every D Beckham’s fan has been waiting for…breathe in…breathe out
February is indeed a love month, and for some, it’s the time to think of ways on how and where to spend Valentine’s day with their love ones. I’ll say, break the fine dining set-up, or a night at the hotel because for the past few years, single or not, I have to share to you guys my way of spending V-day without totally ruining my budget. To all who are planning a special night to spend on the all-love-day, you guys may want to include this on your must do on February list. This is the time of the year where I embrace youth again and be part of the UP Fair 2013 at the Diliman Sunken Garden inside the campus.
When I was in pre-school, my definition of “Astronaut” is someone who travels to the moon. I remember I always answer “I want to be an Astronaut” when someone asked me what I want to be when I grew up. I thought it was the coolest thing that time, since everyone would want to be either a teacher or a doctor. As I grew “smarter”, I found out that that an Astronaut is someone who literally travel to the outer space…well it’s not really isolated in the moon’s land area, but it’s beyond it.
I must say it’s another good start of the year for American Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez, as she made it to the cover of Mega magazine Philippines and be featured for this month’s issue.
In hope to increase the tourism industry in Beijing, China, the country’s tourism department started a visa-waiver program which will give tourist a break from the tedious process of visiting the city’s famous landmarks for trips or vacation.
The program will give way to all business travelers and tourists from 45 countries, in which they can visit and stay in Beijing for 72 hours or 3 days, without visa. Transit passengers from Canada, United States, members of European Union, Brazil, Argentina, Australia, South Korea, Japan and the United Arab Emirates, are just some of the eligible nationalities to take advantage of this program.
January 1, 2013 is the date to mark on the calendar to all qualified tourist, who can visit the famous Forbidden City, experience motor homes show, finest camping facilities and watch plays at Beijing Theatre. As what the announcement stated that they are allowing, “….foreigners from 45 countries with visas and plane tickets to a third country to transit through Beijing for 72 hours without a visa.” This is indeed a good news for business men and travelers alike, because it will open both ways for China to present their greatest city to the world and diversify business opportunities.
Bad news is, Philippines is not listed in the countries included in the program. There is really no reason to feel bad about it because, still all Filipino travelers can go to Beijing, though they only need to pass the migration office in the airport just like other travelers, and have their Visa approved.
Now is the day to remember, for this is the time when people will be seeing Beyonce’s face printed on Pepsi cans. Beyonce in can…that’s what I thought of when I saw pictures of her face marked on cans, showing her support in the company’s “Live for Now” campaign. This is a smart move, making it appear like a limited edition cans that all Pepsi and music lovers can have.
As the product’s brand ambassador, she was able to snag a deal which worth’s about $50 million dollars! All I can say is…whoaw!! Today, I think Pepsi will be able to come up with a mentality, in which their product will be always associated with Beyonce or the other way around; it will be a breeze for them to achieve this, since she’s not just a Pop star but a businesswoman too, so I think she can really contribute a lot on how to promote the product and reach thier target market.
On one of Beyonce’s interview, she said “Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve…As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.” True enough, I guess it will be a win-win case for both parties…and I mean it will be good for Jay-Z too (*wink*wink*). Beyonce started to endorse Pepsi way back 2002, but only this time she got it big as the face of the company.
